The First Guide on Equal Opportunities for Leaders
- Actionable Strategies for Everyday Leadership
- Addressing change with determination, innovation and optimism
- Well-founded scientific analyses and consultancy experience
This book shows how promoting equal opportunities can become an integral part of everyday leadership and what you, as a leader, can do to make it happen. It offers practical answers to your questions, actionable tools for everyday leadership, and fresh ideas for embedding equal opportunities in your organisation’s culture and development.
Tools, Insights and Inspiration: From A to Z
Previous approaches to promoting equal opportunities have largely focused on women, overlooking the crucial role leaders play in driving the cultural change needed for lasting progress. In their book, Julia Nentwich and Gabriele Schambach position gender equality as a core leadership responsibility and provide leaders with practical tools they can apply in their everyday work. These approaches can be adopted individually, regardless of the initiatives or management practices already in place within an organisation. As leadership positions are still predominantly held by men, the book places particular emphasis on their perspectives and experiences.
All the leadership practices presented are scientifically backed, including by the ‘Leaders for Equality’ research project led by the authors. The content has also been tried and tested in practice and was selected on the basis of the authors’ consultancy expertise.
